Faith can inspire hope, of a certain (delusional) type... and people can also find hope without faith. I can't think of anything off hand, but perhaps you could put some research into finding books that can inspire people to be hopeful about their lives without faith - and, better yet, do something to improve them instead of wishing for help from the magic sky dad.

Anna Torv has seriously impressed me with her versatility and subtlety as an actress. From the start I didn't like her performance because I felt she really came off as cold and wooden; then I realized it's a feature, not a bug. So then she started as Fauxlivia, and that was fun and cute; then, she absolutely nailed Fauxlivia-pretending-to-be-Real-Olivia and Real-Olivia-fighting-to-not-become-Fauxlivia; then, the growing emotional complexity of the two characters in the aftermath; and now, William Bell - which, from the little taste tonight, was goddamn bang-on. She just keeps raising that bar, and then sailing right over it.
