I think it goes like this. Some people want Net Neutrality (people) and some do not (corporations). And some want the Federal Government to make a regulatory decision on how things are going to work (neutral or tiered). Either way the decision on this goes, it will be more regulation, and it will most likely not address the real problem.

And do you think a Ron Paul Justice Dept would have let BP and company off the hook for the Gulf disaster? There was a ton of regulation to prevent what happened, and none of it was followed. Deregulation does not mean no accountability. He believes in property rights. If you damage something, you should be held accountable for those damages.

He went to Duke and was an Air Force flight surgeon. Treating him as just an old OB/GYN is delusional. He also owned a private practice where he refused Medicare and Medicaid payments, yet still provided service. I think he understands that the industry is a crooked as it gets and would rather cut out the middlemen (politicians, lawyers, and industry lobbyists).

What right does the Federal Government have to create any of these social safety nets? Federal powers were explicitly written out in the Constitution. If it's not in there, then it's left up to the states. People have a right to life and liberty, but others should not have to coercively pay for that. Taking from one group to give to another by coercive force is immoral.

Edit: And I think the good Doctor knows how to treat and addict. You wean them off.
