That actually makes sense to me. Thanks for that.

Don't think I could do that in Sony Vegas :P

I'll definitely send you a request for something like that some time (if you have the time, that is).

Awesome!

Can I ask how you got that equalizer or visualizer or whatever in your video? I've always wanted to do that.

just wondering--is there an image that's NSFW or is it just the text content?

If it's just the descriptions, I'll read it tonight... but if it's disturbing imagery, I need to sleep soon....

Facexplodie / SoGreatandPowerful - Other Animals by J3uenoin MLPtunes

It's like someone took the left half of Facexplodie's brain and the right half of SoGreatandPowerful's brain and combined them together, creating some horrible Frankenstein's monster.

It's fascinating. Not something I'd put on my iPod, but fascinating.

In Flanders Fields... by dragonworthyin pics

[–]wontstoptalking 2 points3 points ago

I mean, I have to explain a little:

I took a break from Stephen King this year because I took a class that required a lot of reading. Like, Crime and Punishment in two weeks, Light in August in another--basically, we were always reading, and we were reading classics.

Finally I had some time to read for pleasure, so I took out 11/23/63 because I love Stephen King and it has gotten great reviews.

Maybe the book is good, and it's only the beginning that's awful. But I have to explain that the first twenty-so pages were some of the most painful reading I've ever done. Maybe that's what happens when you go from Faulkner to Stephen King, but I think it's more than that, because I remember some King books being incredibly well-written (Mistery, The Stand, some of the Dark Tower books). The opening to 11/23/63 introduces the first person perspective (boo), creates the most contrived excuse for time-travel I've ever read, introduces the most stereotypical "Stephen King" type character ever (that goddamned bartender is just awful).

I had to stop reading.

That was 20 pages in. 20 of maybe 1000. Maybe it gets awesome. Maybe it gets intriguing, and the writing style becomes less awful. Maybe.

But it was just so bad.

...Stephen King, you genius

(though I gotta say: I got about 20 pages in to 11/23/63 and had to put it down. It's the most awful, contrived, poorly-worded, unartistic opening to any book I've ever read)

You know this is the best Fallout character ever by fapfapfapmasterin gaming

[–]wontstoptalking -1 points0 points ago

Yeah, but I have to say that this is one of the reasons Fallout 3 was so much better to me.

I mean, in Fallout, in the first hour or two, you can blow up an entire portion of the map with a nuke. One of hte best gaming moments of all time, in my opinion... I'd go into detail but I'm in a hurry.

Then, at the end of the game, this guy.

I played FNV for about four hours and never saw anything on this scale. Not even close.

TIL that the reason the enemies in the game Angry Birds are pigs is because the swine flu epidemic was going around at the time of the game's development by musicmistress9in todayilearned

[–]wontstoptalking 42 points43 points ago

I'm pretty sure that type of game is about as old as the "tower defense" game. There are hundreds of games that are basically exactly the same.

However, I've gotta admit... Angry Birds Space is pretty awesome, even to someone who despised the first.

Peter Jackson Answers Criticism Regarding Filming The Hobbit by ssommer01in movies

[–]wontstoptalking 1 point2 points ago

Part of it is that that "realism" is actually fake.

Unless your TV is getting material at 120 frames a second (and it's not), to get to that amazing framerate, it has to "invent" in-between frames, and that's what gives it the "so real it's fake" feeling.

Eg, if the video is at 30 fps, the screen refreshes 120 times a second, meaning that each frame is displayed four times. However, instead of showing the same frame four times, it generates four "in-between" frames that smoothly transition from one frame to the next, making it look "hyper real," but also "fake."
