I took the one at OttawaU (Oxford Seminars) and it was fine. It was $1000 however. Quite frankly you can take cheaper programs online for $200. The oxford seminars have a job finding program, which is a bit unnecessary considering you can find all the jobs you need at Dave's ESL cafe.

There is no difference between the 100 hour online program and the more expensive in-class programs. The Celta course is the most well recognized program, however, being the best it is also the most expensive ($5000).

If you have a degree you can teach anywhere except the middle east (also the highest paying area) and you don't need a TESOL/TEFL. If you have no degree you can't teach in S.Korea at all, which is the best market outside the middle east.

I think Red Deer was #4 according to the crime rankings by Maclean's magazine. It is high on the rankings mainly due to property crimes.

edit2: I still haven't been able to find anything out. I will try and keep updating this as time goes on. Everyone I have spoken to locally has not heard of this case.
