I'll be the first to admit white folks don't really get the brunt of it, but I think that as a direct result of the fact that it's inappropriate for us to be indignant white people tend to have more of a sense of humor about racism. And frankly, as someone with mostly Irish blood, I genuinely believe we drink more than others. Half my family is alcoholic, and my first time drinking I did 10 shots and woke up feeling fine. Some things are just genetic.

I was the politically correct white kid in high school. Once I was telling my friends to stop being assholes, because not all black people ate tons of friend chicken all the time. We walk out of the classroom and lo and behold, here's this black dude sitting on the steps with an enormous bucket of fried chicken. I mean, bigger than those big KFC buckets.

I disagree. Yes, they're selling "Native-style" clothes, and yes, I suppose a lot of hipsters buy them (such a stupid word to begin with). But my parents didn't get offended when 60's style clothes came back. As a European, I'm not gonna get up in arms if some black or Mexican kids decide that dressing like Queen Victoria is the next big thing. So a bunch of designers thought your ancestors wore cool shit and designed some shoes based off what they wore. Even if that's not it, if you're offended by their ignorance, I've got news: they're hipsters. Lots of people think they're ignorant. Capitalism goes against their beliefs? Refer back to the 60's example. I'm not gonna say that Native Americans didn't get the short end of the stick, but I do believe that some can be unnecessarily indignant at times.

The city of San Francisco's pretty awesome. Some of the surrounding metro area is so-so, like Oakland and San Jose, but pretty much everything within 200 miles south of it on highway 1 is amazing (Big Sur, Monterey, Santa Cruz, etc, not sure how well known they are outside California). For bonus points, some of the best wine in the world is made just north of SF. And as for those three things you brought up, I guarantee there are clothes, queers, and coffee galore. If you can ever find a job out here, take it!
