My group had a puzzle where we were in a maze and I had recently pried 2 blue saffire balls from a statue's eyes in another part of the maze, we walk into a large area with a door and two statues each with a hand out. Me in my infinite wisdom put the saffires: one of each hand of the statues. The statue's hands closed around the balls and crushed them to dust. Turned out we were supposed to put some coins in there. We promptly destroyed the statues in rage and broke the door with a sonic hammer.
