Back when i was around 16-17, I was on a yearly vacation to Maine with a few friends. One friend came with me from NJ (John), the other 2 (Jack and Gary)and their family would come from VT and meet us at the camp.

There's no TV or internet up there so we basically would get high out of our minds whenever possible, which was pretty frequently, since we stayed in a bunkhouse detached from the main house.

On one such occasion, John's phone began to play the "Near, Far wherever you are" tune from the Titanic. He would frequently do this for shits and giggles back in NJ, so i knew what the sound was. One of the VT guys saw that it was John's phone, but his brother didn't.

In his altered state, Jack had a puzzled look on his face and asked "Do you guys hear that music?" The 3 of us put our trollfaces on and said we didnt hear anything. John would do the same thing every now and again over the course of the 2 weeks we were there, and Jack grew increasingly concerned about his sanity. We never told him the truth.

6 years later I was hanging out with the 2 brothers in VT. Jack brings up Maine and says "Remember that time i was hearing the titanic music?" We told him then. It might not have been the most elaborate, but it was the longest running joke I've ever pulled
