Ty Cobb was an asshole. When he was a child, his mother shot his father, mistaking him for an intruder (he was sneaking around trying to catch her cheating on him). After that, Ty had a gigantic chip on his shoulder. He lived, and played giving zero fucks.

He must have been exciting to watch though. Several times in his career he bunted for a base hit, stole second, third, and home. You just don't see shit like that anymore.
