Yes, but it's about to expire. They started it as a way to generate $ to improve Reddit by hiring more help amongst other things. I think it's worth it considering Reddit provides me with many hours of entertainment and learning every day.

Have you thought of a Murphy Bed? You could add a hinged table to the bottom of the bed so when it's folded up you could swing out the table. I'd bet there's already one made like that.

I would have ripped it up into 6 or 8 pieces and when they came by for the trash I'd put it in slowly while giving them the stink eye, making sure they saw what I'd done.

It depends on her level of gullibility. If she is solidly sold on this scammer you probably won't be able to budge her. I wouldn't install it for her though, unless your future SO thinks that would ruffle too many feathers.

Personally, I hold nothing back from friends or family. If they do or say stupid things I point it out. Usually with questions steering them towards making them figure it out themselves.

Yes but that involves actually being involved in your own life, as in eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, etc. Most would rather just take the easy way out and swallow a pill.

People will actually pay umpteen thousands of dollars for gastric bypass instead of eating less and hitting the gym or even walking for their own health. Go figure.

Those three sentences pretty much sum up my view of most Americans. While it doesn't represent all Americans, where I live it resembles most. These are nightly dinner discussion topics at my house.
