The major ones I run are Permissions, LWC, Wormhole Xtreme, Minecart Mania, and MultiInv. I can't wait for GroupManager to be up-to-date so I can drop-kick Permissions. Shouldn't have to SSH into my server just to grant some newb build permissions, thank you very much.

You get an insight check for the NPC's bluff. An evil/cranky DM can still ruin you, but even against a clever guard you should be able to get past anything they alone can throw at you.

The trend isn't really there for that. Battery tech is barely keeping up with the increase in power demand. A friend of mine was just recently bragging about his phone to me. Apparently, the device he uses for SMS and voice has a dual-core processor that's more powerful than my full-size desktop of several years ago.

Which is why I used for my comparison a nuclear power plant that actually exploded. If I'd been talking about nuclear bombs I would have used the fallout radius from Hiroshima or a larger nuclear test.

Japan was nuked twice, and they still have plenty of livable land. Chernobyl itself is probably the ultimate worst case scenario, and it irradiated something like 150,000 km^2. Most of that land is today livable with only a slight increase in cancer risk.

The habitable continents of the Earth have an area of 134,680,000 km² . If every one of the 400+ reactors in the world exploded like Chernobyl, there was no overlap, and every bit of the radioactive clouds hit those continents, about 60 million km² would be rendered uninhabitable for several decades. That's under 40% of the livable land area.

In the ultimate worst-case scenario, more than 50% of the planet's land area would be untouched.

HDMI makes it easy. You need a DVI->HDMI cord that matches your monitor. Unless your monitor is just exactly bitchin' enough, you also need an audio line. The original cord should work, but you need an RCA->headphone jack adapter for most computer sound systems.

If you're not setup with HDMI hardware, seanspen0 has a link for the right sort of cable that will run with old-school monitors.

Essentially, it seems that header files are not always fully copyrightable. Google obviously has lawyers to oversee major actions. I strongly suspect that they have run this past a copyright lawyer and gotten approval, but there's no way to know that for sure.

The broader point in the Register, that Android developers could see their code forcibly publicized, is thoroughly insane. There's an actual ecosystem of serious developers writing closed-source serious programs for Linux. If the real thing doesn't cause them that problem, a weak tea of header files is hardly going to.

I blame shoddy scientific reporting for this.

And of course, the alien that claims to be Ann Coulter gets blamed, but mostly the poor scientific reporting. Hormesis for radioactivity is poorly supported, and only hypothesizes value for slightly above background radiation. Once you get into nuclear meltdown levels of radiation, even the most zealous hormesis supporters accept that it's not healthy.

Stupid incompetent blowhard that she is, the mindless fools that support her will eat this up. Plus side: Maybe we'll be able to get some more reactors of our own installed.

Even if the ultimate worst-case scenario happens and every reactor in the world is turned into a massive dirty bomb, there will still be lots and lots of healthy land to live on. The planet is huge.

In that case, "stand on their merits" is completely meaningless, is it not? How may a--for the sake of argument a completely vile and wrong post claiming that men must be domesticated and kept like chickens--how may such an argument differentiate itself from a post calling for scrupulously equal treatment among the genders?

The vile post in this case stands just as much on its merits as does the non-vile post. Perhaps you would be willing to remove all moderation from the /r/MensRights subreddit so that arguments there may "stand on their own merits"? Or is that a problem for MRAs?

See, that's where you're saying posts here can't be arbitrarily deleted by a mod. There doesn't seem to be anybody challenging this assertion of fact, nor will I. This means that any argument, no matter how correct, inaccurate, moral, or vile, will be allowed to stand in its entirety. The only arbiter of content in that case is voting.

So what does it mean to "stand on their merits" in this case, when you have explicitly stated that voting is a "strawman"?
