The reason people use lack of winning a championship to criticize LBJ is because of his hype when entering the NBA, what he's said in the past, and arrogance.

When he first came into the NBA he was basically talked about all day and night as being the savior, the king, the chosen one of the NBA. He bought into his own hype and started using his King James nickname, he also got a chosen one tattoo on his back. People saw this and were pretty annoyed since back then he hadn't really done anything yet to be crowning himself.

Later on he kept guarenteeing a championship for the city of Cleveland but failing each year. Then after he went to the Heat he was talking about winning not one, two, or three etc...

That is where it came from.

What you described is color commentating you know that right? Basic color means you're the specialist who is knowledgeable and can hype the action up.

Play by play is describing what is happening, Goldie does it well because he allows Joe to jump in and provide knowledge.

Picks are important and if Howard is traded it isn't just one. Remember that trading Howard means the other team will probably improve a lot, I trust MJ to screw up assembling a team more than the GM of any other team.
