I read about it on Wikipedia. Today I jogged for 5 mins, then did 6 reps of: sprinting for 20 seconds and then walking for 15 seconds, then I walked home.

I was aiming for sprinting for 30 seconds and jogging for 15 seconds, but my lungs weren't up for it (I had a cold last week, probably still recovering from that).

I just did HIIT today for the first time. It was surprisingly challenging. A few months ago I was running 2 to 3k a few times a week.

I lost a pound a day for the first week and now I'm losing a bit less than 1 pound a week. I've been doing keto for 2 months. I'm a woman though, so you'll lose a lot faster than I do.

I retain water too :) I wonder sometimes if that means my skin will have a better chance of catching up and not sagging too badly.

MSG in food makes me hold water for 5-6 days. Wine and coffee sometimes help me drop it. I also retain more during shark week.

Measure yourself :) I lose pounds really slowly, and I really only see a noticeable difference on the scale once a month, but I drop inches consistently. Scales are a poor measure of progress because some people can get 6 or 7 pounds of water weight over one day.

I was irritable and short-tempered for the first week. And then less so for weeks 1-3. I think, honestly, that I didn't fully adapt until around week 3. (And I think that because I was insanely thirsty until around week 4).

I've been on keto for 2 months, and I'm totally fine now though :) No more "why you so cranky?" questions from my family.

I didn't check with my doctor, but I have no health problems.

I would have checked if I had concerns about blood sugar, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or any kind of metabolism or digestive problem.

I'm losing a lot more inches than pounds. I've lost almost 5" on my waist, so I guess it's been a pretty big 12.5 pounds. I wonder if that means I have a small frame...

Oh, I just realized I'm wearing exactly the same shirt in the grinning insanely pic as I am in the before pic. Now that's a stretchy shirt :)
