We men all go through this phase. Let me guess, she's the only girl who is sort of close to you, she tells you all her problems, you think she's into you... Not quite.

There are dozens of articles which will tell you that it's a characteristic of women to be emotionally connected with friends - and sexually attracted to a few, and it is the other way around for men. We are sexually attracted to everyone but emotionally connected to just a few.

That is what is happening here - she is just looking at you as a friend, not a lover. Now you haven't told us much, so what I collect from your post is it's mostly one-sided. You may be misunderstanding her emotions.

It's good that you took a step back and asked us, so you didn't make things awkward by showing your love for her.

So what should you do? Try to put whatever she says at the back of your head... Or get another person in your life you actually talk to... But let me just say what you describe is not love(from her side atleast).

Ah yes the picture on internet thing.

I'm waiting for the day we will be able to identify people from the type of clauses they construct, the number of complex words they use, their diction; the day we will have spectral analysis of a photo to match people's gonewild photos and their facebook photos, a boobie-match service which will match women by the size of their assets and men by the curves of their torso.
