That's a good one, I'm not sure it's strictly speaking a paradox. Maybe a logical one. It does bring up an interesting principle and quirk in human perception though.

Along the same lines, though I never thought of them as a "paradox" ate the following ideas.

Do you recall a memory from 15 years ago with perfect clarity? Any memory at all will do. Picture yourself there at that time. Got it? Good. You were not there. Every cell and this every atom of your body has been cycled out and been replaced by natural regeneration. You that exists now was never there, it was scattered across farms, the atmosphere and inevitably part of the ocean. Wierd huh?

Also ocean waves that "travel" across the ocean, don't. The water that started that wave in Hawaii is still in Hawaii. It rose up and pushed other water which pushes other water. There is current too but thats another thing.

TL;DR people are waves, you aren't the same matter you were 15 years ago. Physically 2 year old you is gone.

Exactly, do to the mania amongst the public around rape; that it is considered worse than murder. Or put another way the people are treated worse after serving their sentence. There's a sex offenders list. If a murderer is released an comes to live in my area, I don't know about and have no right to. Whether you agree with this or not, being able to point the finger and cry witch/communist is too strong a power for one citizen to have over another. Our legal system is based on a few guilty going free so an innocent person need never be wrongfully punished. There is a flaw in our legal system. Accusing someone of rape with malice of forethought just to bring down hell on them should be scary to people. Right now there is no effective deterant.

I agree with what others have said though, this should require proof of intent beyond reasonable doubt and should not be an automatic conviction if the elleged rapist is found innocent. Woman who have been raped should have every oppurtunity to come forward. Those who are using the system and abusing the pain of real rape victims should be punished harshly.

Exactly the onus of proof would be on the prosecution to show that premeditated malicious intent was present in the mind of the false accuser. And in the case of something as powerful as a rape accusation it should carry the highest possible punishment for perjury; jail time. Whether you agree with jail time or not, the false accuser should have their name published in the paper as a false rape accuser.

First thought, that's too harsh? What if she gets raped for real and no one believes her? Well, what if this same dude that was wrongfully accused gets wrongfully accused again? Anyone gonna think he didn't do it? Probably not, even though he's innocent.
