Oil companies are making record breaking profits. What do you mean there's no reason we shouldn't be financially supporting them?

Republicans like to say they see themselves as freeing the blacks from the big plantation of dependency created by the Democrats. So yeah, some have pathetically painted themselves as "saviors".

I look forward to the day reddit functions more often than not. It's the only website I visit that is usually on the verge of crashing or is so frequently down.

Massive protests in Portugal - which is neither Arabic nor Islamic. Apparently the common factor is a generation of college educated young people who can't get work and don't see a future for themselves. How long before we see this in the U.S.? by Naberiusin reddit.com

Joblessness is a connecting factor throughout. Disposed rulers and uprooted aristocrats down the centuries serve as examples of this being the case.

That's the general consensus I've picked up, that libertarianism is so big on reddit because the programmers who first populated this place were such strong libertarians.

I started buying bottled water when it was revealed that the city had been cheating on the water quality tests and that the head of the city's water department had been boiling his water for months. I've never again drank from the tap. Plus, where I'm at now, it's not unusual for tiny bits of gravel to come out of the faucet and the water to look like a urine sample. Then, I had some friends who lived in a place where they could hold a match to the faucet and light the water. Oh, and my aunt and uncle have rainbow colored faucet water that smells like gasoline. Just saying.
