Need some advice about moving to Boston by FS10in boston

Also plenty of young people. But 1-bedrooms are pricey - consider living with a housemate until you've built up some savings.

Alternatively, consider living a bit further out, on one of the train or bus lines. Rent's much cheaper, and you don't have to deal with the lousy traffic and exorbitant parking.

How does a grown man in their late 20's make more friends? Seriously. by --SnooperFax--in AskReddit

Go do fun stuff. Join a volleyball or softball or bowling league. Sign up for a regular volunteer shift. Start a weekend cycling club or a rotating board-games or poker night (rotating means it moves from one person's house to another's).

Demeaning? Maybe it's an upbringing thing, but when you've lived all your life on the leavings of the fortunate, you feel PROUD for scoring something particularly choice!

And keeping useful things out of landfills is definitely something to take pride in.

A business can refuse to do business with any potential customer, for any reason or no reason at all (unless they're like a hospital, and we're working on that...)

That said, businesses that say they don't accept Google Checkout or PayPal often don't because they violated the TOS and aren't allowed to any more. Another example of a business being able to refuse a customer.

Yeah, kind of the "severed heads over the battlements" approach to pest control.

Great shot! We're overrun with them here, to the point that they've nearly driven the red squirrels extinct, and they get into houses and cause a fire hazard. As a phenomenon, I can't stand them, but I find them wonderful as individuals.

Roman goddess of luck, good and bad.

She's pretty old, so She's got aspects covering just about anything, like Aphrodite before She got relegated to sex. Some people refer to Her as the Triple Brighid, largely because of ancient art. She's associated with everything from sheep & childbirth to whiskey and medicine. And, in my experience, She's got a great sense of humor, which any Goddess would need to deal with me!

Brighid. Smith, healer, and muse of poetry. She can handle being yelled at (She mostly just laughs) and shares my joy in making things both beautiful and functional.

Try dance! Any kind you like - salsa, country line dance, ballroom, Irish, contra. Dance folks are cheerful and uninhibited because, let's face it, you have to be to dance for fun in the middle of a performer/audience culture.

What the hell, try capoeira - I bet you'd really enjoy it.
