Was there benifits to going a Lone Wolf style sniper in PS1?

I did plenty of lone wolf sniping in PS1 when outfit members weren't around. It wasn't ideal, but if you hid an AMS near your sniping spot you could definitely have plenty of fun. Planetside is definitely a cooperative game, but you could still have a blast soloing if you knew how to approach it right.

Not at all, but it's not worth being concerned about TTK based on the super early video footage we've seen. I'm just saying that balancing these type of things is a process, and when we're all up in this bitch beta testing our brains out I have complete faith that our voices will be heard and everything will be adjusted based on the feedback that comes from actual in-game testing.

Yeah, the biggest problem is that the new patch opens itself up to abusive playstyles. Being accurate is now far less important than just firing near an opponent. Once everyone figures out just how effective suppression is it's going to be very irritating to play IMHO.

Given two identical setups, there is still a massive amount more lag on PS3 than on Xbox.

I brought my ps3 to my friend's house last night and did a little back-to-back test with the two consoles, and the PS3 has an extremely obvious delay when compared to the 360.

Farmville players would notice the lag. It's irritating as hell.
