The crit rate is an often overlooked factor. Not many 2H's with crit, yet a LOT of 1Hs and OHs with very high (5-7%) crit rates.

Quicker attack speeds are typically used for inducing more procs and mobility ... not total damage.

FYI: Spells like Arcane Orb can be cast successively quicker with more atk spd.

Was definitely living lightning. It's bugged, seems to always crit. I have my damage set up to only show crits... was instantly apparent that something was "off" when it started showing every hit of LL.

Kind of sad how many errors in this game are "instantly apparent" considering, what? 5 years of development?

I actually have a theory that it's much more of a symbol than it's given credit.

I think that every few thousand years comes a return of magic that reshapes the world ... and the perfect way to symbolize that is with another spectacular event that may also occur only once every few thousand years: the passing of a comet. (Perhaps the comet itself brought the magic back, who knows).

I just get the feeling that GRRM is slow-playing this a bit.

I love that this wedding exists just so that anyone who has heard of the RW will think it's referring to this wedding instead. That's what happened to me ... I knew and was expecting an eventful wedding from vague references online, and due to all the preparations for Joff's wedding I assumed it was his. Sort of enhanced the RW shock factor.

IMO, Blizzard has lost a lot of its reputation for its game "polish" with this release. You can't spend as much time as they did developing a game, and then have glaring oversights like this appear on day 1. This should take one of their programmers about 15 minutes to correct.

I find it amazing that this game can be in development for as many years as it has ... yet something so obvious and simple to fix is, still, not fixed. You can not possibly play a Wizard for more than a week or two without realizing this oversight. I noticed this within minutes of getting the ability on day 1.

So my questions is: wtf were they doing for the last 5 years?

This game is not massive. There is actually quite very little actual content, and much of it is randomly generated. I can excuse small things like this for huge, sprawling, massive games like WoW or Skyrim ... but when you spend half a decade developing a game that can be 'finished' in under 24 hours, you better have the most polished gaming experience ever released. Instead what we got was an 8th grade rough draft.

It should have taken a programmer less time to fix this issue than it took me to type this comment.

Just a shot in the dark (no pun intended), but try adjusting gamma settings. For some reason I was getting bad stuttering with similar specs to yours, and after trying everything I found that lowering my gamma setting all but fixed it. Makes no sense, but it rarely does.
