Interesting how you do not believe in the free market. I intend to start a company myself based on ideas I have but access to initial funding (e.g. office rent, initial wages, hardware) is difficult. Surely there is scope available for providing funding for nano-scale health start-ups that could ultimately benefit the public? We have a different funding model here in the U.K (The National Health Service) so I'm not sure how that would apply there. Another option would be to build a wing of a hospital that, say, only treats people without health insurance. Just floating options :)
