Step 1. File a police report

Step 2. Talk to insurance about what can be paid back by contents insurance. (Most insurance companies have an amount on every policy, even if it's low it will still help)

Step 3. Wait.

I don't mean to point out the obvious here, but there are numerous gaming websites which offer walkthroughs and such. That's your best bet.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but what I've learned about the oilsands is that we're far from knowing anything substantial about the environmental impact. My understanding then seems to support the argument of lax regulations, with things such as tailings ponds leaking into nearby rivers and other water bodies. (Again, the evidence I've seen isn't substantial to suggest either that this is something to not worry about OR that it's a huge health/environmental risk.) To me, a potential health and environmental hazard being allowed to continue is pretty lax regulation and the number 1 reason I'm in favor of more government spending on research into these hazards.

Feel free to correct me if you'd like but please say more than "this is untrue" unless you are going to point to specifics.

This makes me sick because of the simple fact that some idiot decided their fun was more important than the history and beauty of an old car. I think the punishment should fit the crime and whatever these idiots are passionate about should be destroyed in front of them.

If you took the time to think before you typed out hate toward people on the internet you would realize I was joking. Also, being called a moron by someone clearly so quick to jump to butthurt-ness is hardly insulting. I don't make assumptions about people, neither should you.

Just a personal peeve of mine, in the future try to avoid the term "global warming" as it's too easy for idiots to be like "it's cold today, where's your global warming now!?" and such. Instead, use the term climate change, or even "man made climate change".

Even "the bad shit with the environment because of poisonous gases" is harder for the nutjobs to argue against.

That's a good point, but I guess it's just more accepted in North American culture when you point out someone's whiteness. Was simply attempting to make a joke, no harm meant.

Racism against white people is the equivalent of sexism against men. When it happens it's not a big fuckin' deal because we have it better than everyone else as far as how society as a whole treats us.

I wouldn't really say those kids look like white trash. I grew up in a trailer park and I know white trash when I see it. They're just all dressed like they're too poor to afford properly fitting clothing.

I should have clarified, it's a wasted vote in my constituency in Grande Prairie as it has been PC since at least 1993 (couldnt find info before that)

I didn't mean to imply that I know fully well it's a bad thing. I simply meant that I'd like to know more before advocating increased fracking. Talking to my friend who's a geologist he has read the research into the increase of seismic activity related to fracking and says the media blows it out of proportion but it could become a real issue.

And as for the idea of better regulation, I would argue that this supports delaying prior to increasing fracking until such regulations are in place.

That's why in the last round of elections I voted NDP, then I realized that's more or less a wasted vote in northern Alberta

Re: Carbon Capture

I would be interested to see statistics about the amount of carbon it captures vs. the output by the average household for a cost analysis. My understanding with natural gas is that getting more of it requires more Fracking (sp?) and with all the bad news about the environmental effects of the process I'd like to see more data on this to see if it's worthwhile. I know natural gas burns with zero emissions but if it's more harmful to obtain i think that defeats the purpose.

I should clarify, my gripe wasn't with catholic schools as a whole, but rather the idea of a school funded (again, my possibly flawed understanding) by the church and subsidized by the government. In Grande Prairie (where I grew up) the Catholic school is by far the newest and most expensive school, with donations from wealthy church members funding nearly every aspect of the school. To me it just seems that public schools need the subsidies more.

Maybe I'm just a bit biased, but I feel like cutting mandatory fees doesn't help anyone but the extremely poor. Say it's $300 for a year of school fees (I don't know if its nearly that much) what is that extra bit of money going to do for a middle class or upper middle class family? Get the kids some more expensive school clothes? Meanwhile the combined total of those fees for the entire province could actually help the shit education budget. I do agree that everyone should have access to education, I don't think giving free education to everyone is necessary to achieve that.
