Bernie Marcus founded the Home Depot, but he doesn't work there anymore. This is like complaining about Planned Parenthood because Margaret Sanger supported eugenics.

Regarding your other point, they support candidates who support corporations. Is this surprising? I challenge you to find a Fortune 10 company that doesn't support Republican candidates. You think Lowes doesn't contribute to Republicans?

I always thought "rolling your eyes" meant moving them from the left to the right (or vice versa.) When I recently realized most people mean looking up into their eyelids I was shocked.

The first two (most common) definitions are:

Comparative form of bad: more bad.

Comparative form of ill: more ill.

So when you say something is "worse" you are almost always saying that both are bad, but one is more bad than the other.

-R makes chown recursive, and since . and .. mean "current directory" and "previous directory," if you do .* it'll chown all the way up and recursively down every directory.
