I love this film. I hope you enjoy it. The creatures are very Jim Hensonesque.

a lot of the Magnet films are up on Netflix: Trollhunter, I Saw The Devil, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil.
All the Bloody Disgusting Selects films are up as well. You should check out The Woman and The Pack.

I actually saw this one before the first (it was playing on Showtime and a bunch of as kids watched it during a sleepover) so I have a soft spot for it. Freddy coming through Jessie's chest is still a pretty incredible effect. Plus it has the classic "You're all my children now" line going for it.

In short-pretty good indie with some John Carpenter touches and a decent performance by the lead performer surrounded by a bunch of crazies.

À l'intérieur, The best horror film of the last decade. by muteconversationin horror

This was a tough film to watch when my wife and I were trying to have a baby. I remember jumping out of my skin when a car alarm went off after we finished watching it. Our condo is on the second floor of our building, and you have to get through two entrances just to get to our door and I still deadbolted every door in the house that night.

Watched this last night. Not without it's flaws but overall I enjoyed it-there's some a very Carpenter feel at certain points and I thought the lead gave a nice performance (though the other characters a re a bit thin. It gets crunchy at the end.
it's the Incident renamed.
Anyone subscribe to Fangoria magazine/is it worth the money? by qwotes89in horror

It's gotten a bit better with the editorial shakeup, and they're giving focus to more under the radar productions. It's not what it was in its heyday, but it can still be a good read. Rue Morgue costs more (though the e reader version is half the cost of the print version) but it's usually a consistent read with well thought out in depth features and reviews that cover more than film. That would be my first choice.

New Dolby Technology to Make Horror Movies Scarier by jms1225in horror

I partly agree with the above statement. HOWEVER-if you have a decent script, good performances and a novel idea executed we'll, a killer sound mix and score goes a long way towards elevating watching a horror movie-much more so than any other genre of film.
