Actually its the exact opposite. Please build something in my backyard instead of ignoring it until the population explodes and then everything is fucked.

Traffic in the Hills was fine when I moved there. Since then, so many new suburbs have popped up without any upgrades to the infrastructure.

The buses are usually full by the time they get to me and then they have to sit in traffic. A train line would make the trip a lot faster and reduce road congestion. There are some places where buses don't go to in the Hills, what should those people do?

Whenever I hear someone say they're a hipster... by coltdanielin funny

[–]krupadlux 0 points1 point ago

No, trendy nerds are just trendy nerds. To be in the hipster "scene" you need to be in one of the creative or performing arts (also fashion or graphic design). You live the starving artist lifestyle while usually not creating anything worthwhile. You smoke and drink and fuck around, usually do some drugs. And even within this culture there are various subcultures. Some of us grow out of it, some of us stay struggling artists and some of us get chewed up and spat out at the very bottom of society.

This was a much more defined line about 6 years ago (when I was deep in it) but now with the image of the "hipster" with his glasses and that scarf thing has become mainstream, it's become a bit blurred.

Sydney is a very multicultural city. This mix of all these different cultures and cuisines is what I think is "Australian" food. That being said try some cuisine from cultures you normally wouldn't have opportunity to try back at home. Brazilian seems to be the flavour of the month, pop down to Norton St in Leichardt (easily busable) and take your pick, I recommend the all you can eat, they come around with meat on a sword and you take your pick. I think I sampled every farm animal that day. Also try the pineapple dessert, very different.
