Well (17 year old here) if all your friends know, does it really matter if your parents know? You don't HAVE to tell them and, if it would affect the relationship negatively then you don't have to mention it. Trying to think of another situation but I'm too lazy.

TL;DR Grown ass man, you don't need to tell your parents.

I think you should accept the scholarship if it was based on academic or needs based, if it was based solely upon faith it would be dishonest and you shouldn't accept it. Thats my personal thing. In my case though I would take it regardless, because scholarships are hard to come by these days.
