Actually, the only boards I browse these days are /p/ and /fa/. They're less shitty versions of r/photography and r/malefashionadvice.

You've clearly never been to 4chan. One literally just has to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Yotsuba A" and voila, you have a nice, easy to read visual style.

The reason there are two different visual styles on 4chan is to differentiate between the NSFW (/b/) and SFW (/v/) boards. And no, neither really looks like shit.

EDIT: Alright alright, downvotes ahoy. All I was trying to say is that there's a heck of a lot more to 4chan that just ">implying". And I'm sorry, but shit like this is the definition of cancer on 4chan. It's degrading what was once one of the best online communities into shitty memes which aren't any better than "narwhal bacon".

If you really want to try to act like 4chan, you're going to have to do better than casual rape jokes and ">implying", maybe spend some time in some of the other boards apart from just the frontpage of /b/.

Actually, I only see a couple whining, the rest are still happily beating that horse.

In fact, the people "whining" get downvoted pretty damn fast, so if you didn't open the comment threads you probably wouldn't see them at all.

It's sort of like if you're at a dead horse beating convention and there's a couple guys standing outside and they just pointed out how pointless it is to keep beating the horse. Then a bunch of the horse beating convention officials have to go over and shut them up so they don't ruin the fun of the people still content with beating the horse some more.

To be fair, I think it's a bit hard to expect true realism in something marketed as a super hero film.

I mean yes, the gadgets were quite unrealistic, but it wasn't like any of them actually degraded from the plot, in fact, I'm willing to bet there are people who saw the movie and thought that gadgets like the cellphone surveillance thing used at the end are real.

To me, the hardest part to wrap my head around was Batman's total "do no evil" attitude, in which he had several oppurtunities to kill The Joker but chose not to, though in the end he would've saved countless lives had he done it.

No he's being serious, that's pretty much how it works.

It's pretty much just satire, and at times it can be very funny. One thing which they tend to do a lot of is make similar posts to ones that just made the frontpage on the real Reddit, except much more exaggerated and satirical.

It tends to make fun of the really circlejerky boards like /r/atheism and /r/politics, though it also pokes fun at ones like /r/AskReddit too.

That's an /r/circlejerk post making fun of the plentiful questions asked on this subreddit in which people apparently choose to turn to the internet for help, rather than do the logical thing.

At any rate, it can be a very funny board if taken lightly, and actually has loads of offspring-subreddits which basically do the same thing on a more specific level.
