This is why i really, really hope the Reprap and stuff like that gets advanced enough that it gets close to the Makers from Transmetropolitan, or at least as close as you can get in real life, and it's still freely accesible by everybody. The stuff we'll see will be so awesome!

Read more superhero stories. You're afraid of them because of the danger of the Mary Sue (fair warning, TVTropes link), but writers go to great lengths to avoid it. In fact, i've seen fans annoyed because their favorite invulnerable hero is getting hurt too much lately and want that to stop, but they can't as it's required to make any writing interesting, there's no drama value on really invulnerable superheroes.

I'd say go Marvel as those are my favorites (Spidey FTW), but if you want even better, any Vertigo story will hook you up, and DC is... not so bad.

Silly me, i just read some API info on the top of the page and stopped reading, never noticed the dump down there. Downloaded already (the "verified" one only just like you, i see no real use for the "all" list unless you plan on verifying links yourself, which is not the objective here).

And yes, i can code enough so i'll make something interesting for myself, perl is my friend, but that's only if my friend Vim is somehow not enough for me :D

Then again, there's literally decades of material waiting for you, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'd say start with New Who and work your way to latest ep, then consider if you'd like to get the original series. /r/doctorwho is your friend.

Another Gaiman book i haven't read. I might have to escape civilization with a weather-resistant laptop, a solar battery and terabytes of the stuff i haven't yet watched/read and it still would take me the rest of my life.

And apart from that i'd miss the rest of the MLP seasons, so no.
