I'm on the same dose of Desoxyn that I was on Dexedrine. I think the mg/mg conversion is pretty much the same, so you'll end up taking the same doses. Plus, if you're satisfied with Dexedrine, then I don't think it's worth it to switch at this time. I never had teeth clenching or grinding on Dexedrine, nor Desoxyn, so I don't know if that will go away for you.

I'm still not really sure why Desoxyn is considered the most powerful stimulant. Maybe the methyl group increases solubility within the fatty tissue of the brain tissue, seeing as it's non-polar?

Dexedrine is already very tolerable compared to Adderall, as it only has the d-isomer, which is allegedly responsible for the CNS stimulating effects, rather than the l-isomer. Still, I had some side effects (maybe because it was Barr generic, which is known to be shitty). Desoxyn has basically no side effects (like fast heart rate, anxiety, etc.), and I almost cannot feel it come on, and I definitely cannot feel it come off, as I could with Dexedrine, which left me somewhat anxious and "down". However, if you're looking for recreational use, you can read some forums and see that Desoxyn has been notoriously disappointing in this regard. The tablets come only in a 5mg size, supposedly with some kind of plastic-matrix and some inactive fillers. I can see how dosing with high doses would be annoying and costly without insurance (about $400 for 100).

Have you tried taking a lower dose, like 10 or 15mg? I've read that at higher doses, euphoria is induced, and it can sort-of overpower any anxiety. 20-40mg can be a pretty high dose if one has no tolerance. But again, it's idiosyncratic and I wouldn't expect everyone to have the same reaction.

Had a significant amount of anxiety and social withdrawal with it, and the come-down is like none other. I wouldn't even dream of combining it with weed.

Yeah, I think illicit meth's reported side effects can be attributed to the levorotatory isomer. It has been theorized that this is what is responsible for the peripheral stimulation one experiences. I think this is the case with amphetamines in general, and my own experiences seem to match up, since dextroamphetamine was a lot smoother than the amphetamine salt combo, which contain both l, and d-amphetamine.

Desoxyn is purely the dextrorotatory isomer, without any side chemicals. This, combined with the fact that I take super low doses orally, (10mg, ~20mg daily) compared to what recreational doses are (anywhere from 50-500mg injected), is why I probably have no side effects.

I am still on it. Most pharmacies will not have it. Several I went to didn't carry it and didn't even offer to order it. I found one that special-ordered it for me. I have never tried illicit meth, so I can't compare. I can only compare to the other amphetamine medications.

I don't see why it's not a first line treatment. Having been prescribed all the amphetamine-class medications, out of them, Desoxyn produced basically no side effects. Adderall was the worst, side-effect wise.
