Same situation here. My cousins were nerdy as fuck, and used to import BETAS and VHS from Europe with subs. By the time I was like 6 years old, anime dubbing in México was pretty polished and prominent. Nothing censored or adapted. In a way, Mexican sexuality culture is quite like the Japanese one.

I would recommend to use Empathy for IM and such. Pidgin is a bit limited. But, pretty sure for a girl that age, that solid web browsing, and homework tasks are what she thinks when she uses a computer.
