As much as they would like to, you can't just blame everything on bad luck. If you have ANY experience in setting up these kind of rigs you will know equipment tend to break down, fail and have a hard time playing nice with each other. You should ALWAYS have a backup plan, and prepare SEVERAL days in advance. You can't just test things a few hours before the actual live event and then cross your fingers and hope everything works out.
