Came here to say that. Seconded.

I'll be on Fox and Friends this Saturday morning (05/21) to defend the position that video games are a valid form of art and are worthy of NEA grants. Any suggestions/points you'd like me to cover? by primesuspectin gaming

Don't forget that these assclowns probably oppose all NEA grants. Expect at least one of them to fall back to that if you beat them.

iTunes or Netflix.

Netflix is the best $9 you'll spend on entertainment every month, and iTunes will have a lot of the stuff that's new and isn't on Netflix yet.

I imagine that it also makes working with huge mailboxes slow and (perhaps) memory-intensive.

Fuck mbox format.

I use it because it works and I'm not interested in seeing how poorly Thunderbird (which uses the hideous mbox format for storing messages) performs with the tens of thousands of messages I have.

So Windows Phone 7 has no support for multi-tasking, copy/paste, Flash, etc. Why aren't people making a big deal of this, like they did with the iPhone? [x-post] by roger_in apple

It's annoying that he sent you his conversion mumbo jumbo, but is he a nice guy?

Do you have to ask that? The dude is using people's dead pets to try and score conversions.

I don't think that this is something to get all upset about or to try to discredit him in some way. That would just make you look like the bad guy.

You're not big on thinking, are you?

Doesn't affect me, but some markets (eg academia) are affected negatively.

Are you serious? When I was in academia, Dell (the de facto alternative to Apple) absolutely raped my institution.

We were paying $1500 for boxes that should have cost $500, and that was to lease them for three years. I have no clue why that was considered an acceptable deal, but you shouldn't assume that PCs are cheaper (or beneficial) for academia.

You want an OS X rack-mount server? Poor you!

Mac OS is a great desktop OS, but it's annoying as fuck to administer as a server OS. Apple is almost doing customers a favor by killing the XServe.

[–]get0ffmylawn 0 points1 point ago

Sorry! I'm not saying that it's something anyone can do, I'm just saying that it's something a student in a 200-level philosophy course should be able to do. So you probably should be proud.

I might also be underestimating the difficulty because I've read "old" stuff from my early teens onward, so the vocabulary and flowerly language are hardly new to me.
