Guarantee the pillow thing will help out. I can only speak from my experience when I was younger, but cutting down/out oily food (fried stuff, pizza without patting it down with a paper towel, and salad dressing, etc) and the pillow case thing pretty much made me go from pizza face to basically no acne. As far as the diet goes, eating less is probably a concern, but it could easily just be what you're eating. Look into what constitutes a healthy diet some, you don't need to be a health nazi, but educating yourself on the relation between diet and weight gain is probably the best thing you can do for yourself in that regard. Do that and you'll be a serious hottie in a year or two.

Can't see pics but, you probably don't need to go to the gym to lose weight. Change your lifestyle. Walk somewhere, often. If there's nowhere to walk to where you live, then park further away from stuff and walk, take the stairs etc. Most importantly, learn what a healthy diet is. Start with google. Seriously, most overweight people have no fucking clue what a balanced diet means. Diet's probably 80% of it. Going to the gym to lose weight might work for a couple months, then eventually you'll stop and just gain it all back.

People who're thin aren't thin because they walk on a treadmill; they're thin because of how they live and what they eat. Good luck with it.

If she's perfectly healthy (and hot) now, and she feels bad about herself, then being perfectly healthy and hot at a slightly lower weight isn't going to change anything.

She's not ugly, in fact she has a cute face, but are you kidding me? You're being way overly positive. The girl wants advice, and she'd look better if she lost some weight. I don't know if you're fat, you have a fat girlfriend, or you're just a white night forever alone, or what, but clearly you have some issue around criticizing weight. If she had horrendous acne I doubt you'd tell her not to wash her face. Telling her she wouldn't look better after losing a little weight is the opposite of helping her.

Nobody's asking her to become anorexic.

Find some facial wash that works well for your acne. Also change your sheets and most importantly your pillow case. (this was the trick that basically ended my acne when I was 17... Also your diet has a lot to do with it, lay off really greasy food.)

On the topic of diets, you could lose some weight, it's not hard just pay attention to what you're eating. Losing the weight will change your body and your face, you'll seriously look much better and feel way better. Then come back and ask again because you'll look different.

By the way, designers don't have any sort of misconception about the differences between Macs and PCs, they use them because 90% of the industry still use them, thus most jobs require proficiency with them.

I think flash is great for teaching UI design because students are less restricted by their current coding skills, allowing in depth critiques of more complex interaction with a website. That said, the school I graduated from still teaches it, however, they unfortunately teach it because they're convinced that flash and using WYSIWYG is real web design. Although, I'm convinced most of the professors know this is hack bs, and are just too lazy to teach something more complex like actually writing the code.

Flash is in a weird spot right now. Like k1n6 said, I wouldn't voluntarily ignore it, but in terms of web design, it's been looking more and more like people are getting away from flash. I've even had non-tech savvy friends tell me flash sucks when they barely have a clue what it is.

i want to take my product and make a white background on it.

This is literally my part time job for a company called Christmas Loft. (If you're from VT or NH you may have heard of it, they have a few stores, but sell everything online as well.) I make a few dollars per image and do them by the batch (anywhere from 20-100 images in a batch). How many batches they send me and how frequently depends on the time of year, but it essentially works by their schedule; when they have images to be worked on they let me know and I get them back to them within a couple of weeks.

As a web designer I just want to point out that I did not design or develop their site (it's pretty dated looking), but I've moved the majority of products you see on their site from plain photographs on usually white/grey (with poor lighting) backgrounds, and sometimes full color backgrounds that require some edits to color and lighting as well, to plane white backgrounds like what you see on the site.

If you have a good deal of images that need to be worked on, we could possibly work something out. You can PM me for my email if you would be interested.

Basically. This is how being a grown up works. (notice its always teenagers and at least somewhat inexperienced early 20somethings who complain about friend-zones, never a 30 year old man.)

There's being friends with a girl, then being friend-zoned. Friend-zoned means you settled when you wanted more. It only happens when you think you need to be friends before finding out if she has an sexual interest in you.

Basically, the dating world goes like this: First, you find out whether or not there's mutual interest in each other. VIA flirting, asking her out on a date, showing her a good time and making a move. Then you find out whether or not you enjoy each others company the way friends do. This step is called dating, it's a much longer process, and if there's mutual sexual interest and you enjoy each others company enough (not friends, but like being close friends), then it can possibly turn into a relationship.

It really boils down to a matter of efficiency. You see if there's sexual interest first, then if you two get along really well. This is where the claim that friend-zoned guys are pussies comes from. They tend to dedicate a lot of time and effort into making friends, while being too scared to find out if there's an sexual interest. Most of the time, even if there would have been mutual interest at the start, the girl probably doesn't consider you a candidate by the time you become friends, because you've shown no interest, which isn't normal.
