Value is basically just shades of grey, shadows, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're using ink, which makes it a bit trickier to add value! With ink you can use techniques like stippling or hatching to create a 3-dimensional, full-looking object, rather than the flat shapes you currently have.
