An old trick is to cut up your food into small pieces and chew each piece well, about ten chews or more per bite. It takes longer to eat, giving your body time to tell your brain you're full. Also, the excessive chewing is beneficial for your digestion.

As others have said, smaller plates, cut your meals in half, drink lots of water.

Most of the time when you feel hungry, your body is actually wanting water. Drink a tall glass of ice cold water. You burn more calories warming it up inside.

Don't eat before bed.

Don't watch tv or have distractions. Devote meal times to meals.

Eat fruits and vegetables, fresh made meals. If it comes in a package you probably don't want it.
