What would you do with this Epiphone Nighthawk? by deft1134in Guitar

[–]deft1134[S] 0 points1 point ago

It's strange to me that someone doesn't get the point of this. And thanks for wasting both our time by coming here and being dull and contrary.

I like your approach. I just wanted to see what others would do with this guitar for the fun of it, to spend a few minutes being creative or crazy. Unfortunately some people here didn't get it.

What annoyed me the most was the sound it was putting out, so I'm already working on replacing the pickups.

I should practice that much.

We currently have two guitarists (myself rhythm), but who says two is max? What is your style/level of playing?

Well, I'm no singer (me on vocals), so we might want to get you over to try out some vocals.

One of our first attempts in the studio. A mostly finished jazz-inspired . . . something: http://soundcloud.com/dansweenus/thenight

My least favorite was Century Rain. Redemption Ark and Absolution Gap were incredible (in my opinion), they are what kept me buying his books. Pushing Ice isn't part of the Revelation Space universe, but it's my favorite outside of the series by far.

My favorite author. Although Revelation Space remains my favorite of his.

"We wanted to see our local people." KONY2012 screened to villagers in Northern Uganda -- as the film progresses, the crowd's puzzlement turns to anger. by erinianin worldevents

"There are some kind of people . . . there are some kind of NGO (Non-governement organization) who are trying to mobilize fun using the atrocities committed in Northern Uganda."

"We wanted to see our local people who were killed, so these are all white men, these are (filmed) different from Northern Uganda."

We went back and fixed some things for the final, if you're curious to hear it will be on our Facebook page: Laughing at Columbus (shameless plug).

Thanks for the feedback.

Vocalist here, unfortunately that's the best I can do at this point. I normally just play rhythm guitar . . .we tried for a few months to find a vocalist but nobody really fit our style - I ended up as vocalist. I started working with a vocal coach so I'll check back with you in a year (ha).

Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you, we also brought the snare down. Getting feedback like this is great.

We played through a VOX CC2 and direct line into a computer with some kind of software (that part I know nothing about - not the guitarist). And thanks!

Thanks, we did go back and adjust for that on the final.

Recommendations for putting Fralin Jazzmaster pickups in a Fender style body. by deft1134in Luthier

[–]deft1134[S] 0 points1 point ago

I bought the only one that had the wrong price sticker on it, so he was obliged to give it to me for 45 instead of 75.

If I put it in the strat body I'll just do one, if I can get a Jazzmaster body, I'll find another pickup I guess.

I went into a local shop to pick up a Fralin that I mentioned above but they were out. I saw an SD Hot for Jazzmaster for 45$ and bought that instead.

I'm debating on putting it in the current sized slot on this body, but it is a pretty crappy body.

Where did you get the body you'll be using?

A Noble Lie OKC Documentary - Noble Lie: "A myth or untruth knowingly told by the elite to maintain social harmony, or the social position of the elite." -- The Republic, Plato. by Bbailyin Documentaries

I realize you're free to post whatever you'd like in r/Documentaries, but just so that other people can see:

This is not a documentary, it's a conspiracy theory video making assumptions that the government perpetrated the OKC bombing.
