The studio's making an MMO. That's a good way to eat up a lot of money all at once. Hopefully this is just them being judicious about staying in business and not actually spending all of the 100 million dollars that they started with.

As a CS student it always depressed me how many xxl shirts companies brought to my college. We were a thoroughly averaged sized group, but these damn companies would bring free pizza and fat shirts every time.

I actually know more solo world wanderers that are ladies than men. Nit that I know many of either gender.

I feel like it's a sad thing to do alone either way, personally, but I've always viewed meetin strangers on such trips as more of a siphoning someone else's life kinda thing. I imagine it ain't the right 'tude for such things, but I'd rather share experiences like that with someone I'll really still know years down the road.

I got an anti glare screen cover for my 13" macbook from power support USA. Honestly, the colors are gorgeous and clear on the shiny screen but I do a lot of digital art at home and the doubt ambient glare gave me about my color choices made it worth it. I needed help to get the thing on without bubbles, though.

That's definitely true for desktop towers (Mac Pro), but their entry level (1k) laptops and the mac mini are pretty nice for the price. Even the stupidly expensive 27" iMac is decently priced when you realize the high resolution screen that comes on those things is typically priced over $1000 standalone. Apple has the iPhone advantage here: no one else makes as many tiny-board computers (laptops, iMacs) as they do.

Also, you can resell them a couple years after you buy them for only a couple hundred bucks less. Crazyballs.

Me and my wife's PC laptops all just fall apart and suck (Averatec, HP). If you keep an eye out you can get the omega PC gaming laptops every once in a while, but the power draw and size of those things makes them more of a portable desktop/LAN thing. VAIOs and the fancy Dell laptops tried to compete in the "fancy/high quality" laptop area and both lines pooped out pretty poorly, while being more expensive than similar Macbooks.

We voted for medical marijuana when it was up for a democratic proposition vote. I like to think that Arizona, while kinda crazy, is also at least actually conservative and not the weird pro-corporate morality police voter that is the current Republican wet dream.

This law bubbled up from the legislature, via the same bullshit filter that leads to laws that are only clear political statements being passed by them every other time. People vote for the public representation that best matches their interests, not those who exactly match their interests, because they don't exist. Unfortunately the republicans in this state have taken to soapboxing bullshit like this for some imagined neocon base instead of representing.
