The most interesting thing to me was the powerful evidence that lends to the conclusion that Mormon doctrine creates systemic problems towards the perception, invocation of, and treatment of the homosexual population.

To be honest, I sometimes have the feeling to do the same to Evangelical preachers on college campuses who preach hell fire and damn nation. Probably the best troll ever was the "You aint got no pancake mix" troll.

Not that I would actually do it. But it should be admitted. It was effective as hell.

"I don't believe the church, but how can the BOM possibly be fake?! It's solid!" by BKNexusin exmormon

BH Roberts, a seventy, admitted that the BoM could have been of non-divine origin when asked to research it by church leadership.

I was in the exact same place as your friend until I came across the Roberts quote.

Great article. While my first time and her first time was not as pleasurable as the one in your article, she did cry after words for similar reasons. Though she had been raised Dutch Reform.

If you want to try beer and like it, start with Fruili; it really shouldn't be called beer. From there, try Innis and Gunn: Regular for a more beer beer.

What do you think would happen to TSCC if contact were made with a non-human alien species? by Mormontoatheistin exmormon

[–]celestialbound 0 points1 point ago

I agree its unlikely. The reason I bring it up is that we are supposedly created in god's image. If the alien species was not somewhat humanoid, it would be hard to hold that they are god's children and part of his plan. On the off chance it is humanoid, Mo think kicks in and bam, more evidence of the Mo god.

Ha, I remember asking my SP to take my questions to the area authority and him flatly refusing me. When I asked why, he told me that he already knew the answer the area authority would give. The general 'the answer is in the scriptures, study harder, read more.'

Yep, priesthood chain of authority exists so that it can't be used the way they direct you to use it :/

“I believe” vs. “I know” –The LDS church encourages its members to lie – What are your thoughts? by 28thyearin exmormon

[–]celestialbound 2 points3 points ago

Actually, it's not bullshit. It's called the Insufficient Justification Effect and is well documented in psychology.

I don't know, seems like Brandon Hardin would have been a better pick?

Help me out here. I just watched some game tape on Jones, and he seemed to lack burst and be slow. I was stoked before I watched, but now I'm thinking bust.

[–]celestialbound 0 points1 point ago

Right, but he could have done that without two trades up. Two good defensive players would still have been on the board where the original picks where.

Ha, I blame the fucking refs for that safety. Such a bullshit call. Do they know for certain there wasn't an option route that Brady and a receiver read differently?????? I didn't fucking think so. /end rant.

I was surprised Brady didn't catch fire with you though.
