fishing for smallmouths at a lake in VT at dusk. i will some times tie on a fly n bobber combo just to see what happens. i cast out,hearing no splash from the bobber i curiously reel in and feel something on the end of the line. it wasn't until i had reeled it to just over the kayak that i saw it. A BAT !

it seems to me i read someplace (no link)that by law a restaurant has to pay at least minimum wage. if the $3 per hour and the tips don't add up to at least that wage,the restaurant has to pay it anyway.

When i was in 5th grade "sunday school",the teacher asked us to draw a scene out of the bible for the "art show". Well,when my mom went to see the art we had produced, she asked the principal why my art had not been displayed. she was led to his office and saw my drawing of St john's head on a silver platter,w/ his eyes rolled back,his tounge hanging out and flies surrounding the whole scene. I told them "well,i bet it really did look like that" My mom says she felt like sinking into the floor right on the spot. This still gets brought up at most family gatherings.
