Dude... just stop. Why be married at that point, or even way before that point?

I come from an all military family and am engaged to a guy in the army. I think when you're deployed most of the rules are for a reason.

They give away millions of dollars worth of shit to people. They need money to do this, and why not "product place" for the companies that helped make it happen?

You must have had a horrible piercer. Most people, including me, say it was only a small Pinch like feeling.

That makes much more sense. I agree with you, the willfully ignorant can be annoying when they refuse to learn from their mistakes.

I agree with you. The amount of military hate and just hate on reddit is astounding. The Internet makes people a lot braver than they ever would be in person. I think a lot of the blame is misplaced. Hate on our government, not on the people who took a job with tons of benefits.

What about the people who were really disadvantaged because of socioeconomic status? Or the people who just couldn't get to a good school? Or the people who just have a hard time learning? I mean, just because you aren't perfect at spelling or grammar doesn't make you less of a person. A person can be hardworking, help society, but not be the best speller.

There are plenty of other benefits, but all I did was answer your question. It's not the only answer, but a common one.

Most people join because they need a job. This job provides free healthcare, almost free or free housing, retirement benefits, spousal and child benefits, the ability to go to college for cheap or free, and other good benefits as well. There are tons of jobs in the military that have nothing to do with war. My dad was a physical therapist and my step-mom was a nutritionist, both in the Air Force. The economy is bad, and it is hard to find a decent job. These people took a chance.
