To an extent, this is true. But, if you just wanted to block most standard VPN access, it would be easy to do.

would only need this firewall rule on the wireless segments, btw.

IPSEC - block port 500 udp, port 50 & port 51
PPTP - block port 1723 tcp

granted, this wouldn't block all of them, but it will be enough about 80% of your users won't be using a VPN.

You could still use a ssh proxy, etc if you wanted to.
