[Build Ready] Looks delicious to me. Any suggestions before I break the bank? (Reposted since I linked the wrong build in my last post) by aryat1989in buildapc

I have one more question, sorry. Does it really matter what brand I buy? For example: Sapphire or XFX? Sapphire has slightly better ratings, but XFX has a lifetime warranty. I'm pretty noob at pc building so I'm stuck here.

The 550W will be plenty? Even if I decide to crossfire in the future?

Seems like a lot of people are saying that it runs pretty loud. That normal for the card?

Yeah I was originally planning on getting the 6850. So the 550 TI at 975 mhz wouldn't be better than that?

[Build Help] I'm looking to build a pc without spending more than $500. *Maybe* 600. Is this doable? by aryat1989in buildapc

Oh sweet. I'm liking the price of this build. I have a friend who has hookups at Michaelsoft and can swing me an OS. So just over $500 is more than doable. Thanks for your input.

Awesome. Thanks for the input. I forgot to mention that I already have a fairly decent 20" monitor. Also, my brain is confused trying to figure out your sentence about an OS.

This is what I got. Need help trying to reduce the price. I'm completely unfamiliar with manufacturers so I don't really know when going cheaper is ok.

Every time one of these pictures is posted, I discover a new sect of Christianity. It's interesting to me how God's supposedly complete and perfect word (the Bible), can spawn hundreds of different churches. I would think that interpreting your deity's holy commands to fit your personal life style kind of defeats the purpose of that religion. But then, maybe it's a good thing so few people take the Bible 100% literally.

The thing I've noticed about these classic games I loved as a kid, is that they're not nearly as fun as I remember. I'm fine with just having nostalgia.

One of my Criminal Justice professors, when he was a cop, had his car urinated on/in by bystanders 7 times. Not to mention all the times he had crap thrown at him and his car. So yeah, I'd say cops have to put up with a lot of crap that most of us will never encounter.

Well Christians believe the Bible to be God's literal word. A christian condemning homosexuality isn't so much speaking on behalf of God as he/she is just repeating what God said in a book anyone can read. Now what they fail to do is realize that their religion is centered around Christ (hence Christian) and Christ would never do anything like picket the state capitol screaming "God hates fags." In fact, as he did with "sinners" in the Bible, he'd probably just go grab a bite to eat with them.
