Does anyone know the model number of his Oberheim synth? Looks like a custom setup using SEM modules..

Thanks for the comment - appreciate the advice. Do I need to be worried about getting the Google Slap due to these kind of paid ad links? (there appears to be a lot of static on the web about text link ads = PR0)

Fract OSC - A videogame inspired by synthesizers (video) by algodudein synthesizers

I can't vouch for it's playability or addictiveness, but it's certainly an original premise for a videogame. Maybe they've found a new niche.

Thanks for the help, chockZ. Next stupid question: When you say "marked as paid/sponsored", do you mean the target site has been flagged as a paid site by Google, or that there's something embedded in the link that marks it as such or ?

Based on what they described in their first email, they seem to just want a link somewhere in a blog article, rather than on my sidebar. Would the $250 amount you mentioned still apply?

Thanks very much for the reply and info. I actually emailed them back stating that I'd need to have final say on the link, that it must be nofollow, and if the linked content were to change I'd have the right to terminate. It will be interesting to see what they say...

Any books on building a direct connect trading engine (high frequency or not) ? by mildlyimpressedin algorithmictrading

[–]algodude 0 points1 point ago

If you haven't already, you might want to check out "Algorithmic Trading & DMA". Its more of a bird's eye view of algo technologies, but you might find it useful. Other than that, I haven't really come across any books that offer the technical detail you're looking for - most seem to be on the quant side of things rather than the implementation side.

Man vs. Machine on Wall Street: How Computers Beat the Market by algodudein algorithmictrading

I'd concur - I read somewhere that 50% of all trades in the US equities markets are algos. I suspect that number will only rise with time.
