Would be cool to include some kind of Diablo lore in the challenge. For instance, the key could be encrypted, and the only way to decrypt it is by using the correct passphrase - which is Diablo related (the name of a major character, the second half of a characteristic sentence from the Diablo games, the name of a well-known Item or quest, etc.).

One second, let me try to find you a website where you can encrypt stuff with a passphrase.

Edit: here you go :)

Hah, I'm actually in the credits of that game. I was one of the in-house beta testers. The Yager crew was pretty awesome.

Reddit, what would the Seven Wonders of the Internet be? by zrsioin AskReddit

[–]abrasax 1 point2 points ago

Ah, In that case I misunderstood. I really thought you meant that one was a replacement to the other. One could argue about which is more important (I'm with you, SSH had the greater impact all in all, I'd say), but that's a different matter.

Reddit, what would the Seven Wonders of the Internet be? by zrsioin AskReddit

[–]abrasax 0 points1 point ago

Because SSH is not used to transfer files exclusively. Sure, you can use SFTP, which is like a combination of the two (rather, FTP that utilizes SSH), but even that is something else entirely and not exactly a replacement for FTP - it's an alternative.

SSH to replace FTP? That's not even.. I mean.. They're different... Do you.. Do you know what those protocols do? Same goes for TCP and IP. They're not the same thing.

I actually saw them play in Copenhagen a couple of years ago, in this really intimate place (~100 people), at the beginning of what I think was their first international tour. When Little Lion Man (I think it was that song) came on and people started singing along with him, Marcus actually started crying a bit and paused for a second. It was beautiful and my best convert memory ever.

I realize that his is how reddit works, and I must admit, it frustrates me. I just do not understand how you can like r/atheism, I guess. It's a cesspool of immature circle-jerkery that makes reddit seems like a know-it-all sophomore college student. I just wish that there was some sort of voting system for subreddits, like there is with comments. It would be interesting to see the number of downvotes r/atheism would get.

I hate to argue against my own cause, but this explains why you're still seeing r/atheism even after unsubscribing when logged in.

I won't argue with the fact that it's a first world problem. But please see this discussion for my other points as to why I think atheism does not belong on the frontpage.

I would say it is promoting atheism, is it not?

Funnily enough, you keep bringing up r/trees, which is not a default subreddit, so I don't really know what to say to that?

I would argue that the frontpage should not be determined by numbers alone, but also by judging the quality of its content. Quality over quantity, no?

I get the fact that it's on the frontpage because it has a large number of subscribers. That said, I'm sure the number of people who browse reddit and do not subscribe to r/atheism and are annoyed by it being on the frontpage is relatively big as well, if not bigger. Also, keep in mind that it being a standard subreddit for people who newly register artificially inflates the number of subscribers.

In any case, I generally oppose subreddits promoting religion or ideology being on the frontpage at all. It makes reddit seem a bit douchey.

As I said - it's a hassle, as I use many different machines, including, phones, to browse reddit. That said, I feel that subreddits promoting religions or ideology shouldn't be on the frontpage in general. And honestly, having r/atheism on the frontpage makes reddit seems like a douchebag. Downvotes, here I come.
