I'm a guy so I can provide some perspective. If I were to date a girl and she had scars like you described, I wouldn't care at all. I know this because I dated a girl who had self harm scars. Most people may get freaked out, but anyone who is somewhat familiar with depression and self harm will understand, and may even find your scars interesting and unique. And I'll admit, although not proudly, I think scars are kinda sexy.

I've been doing CBT for a while now. It's moderately helpful. I did DBT a little over year ago and didn't find it that helpful. I'm still hunting for the magical pill that will fix all my problems. Even if I could stabilize my mood (and ignore the BDD), I would be much better off.

I got it bad. I hate nearly everything about myself.

I have found no way (yet) to overcome it. I don't respond well so SSRIs so I'm probably stuck with this awful tortuous disorder for the rest of my life.
