When I realized just how much chemicals we put into or on our body via food and hygiene products, and how that affects our health. I used to have such awful and uncontrollable acne, dandruff, and dry skin. Nothing helped, and I spent so much money trying different creams, alcohol pads and 'proven' acne products. Then one day I saw an organic almond soap bar and I bought it because it smelled good. Within a week, my acne cleared up (except along the hairline) and I didn't have dry skin anymore. I tested other natural/organic soaps just to be sure, and it was all the same. Then I tried an organic shampoo/conditioner, and not only did my hairline acne disappear too, but so did most of the dandruff - it's now manageable with a weekly use of head and shoulders, instead of daily. For food, I try to avoid as much foods with preservatives as possible.

TL;DR Lab-chemical products gave me bad acne, skin and hair. Natural/organic products solved the problem.

What's the most frustrating thing you have to deal with on a regular basis? by agentwestin AskReddit

[–]WhitePostIt 0 points1 point ago

My mom does that with basic logic. She thinks, that building muscle is not the way to lose fat and get healthy, because muscle weighs more than fat. This was after she watched a show telling her that the BMI scale doesn't always work, because according to the index, body builders are obese due to the weight of their muscles. I think all she heard was "Muscles means more weight means obesity".

Hun, I don't know about you, but I carry my groceries in a camping backpack. I even carried a large watermelon that way.

If your back won't allow it however, get some back-wheel baskets, and some elastic rope with hooks. The baskets are designed to suspend over and to the side of the wheels - no need to sacrifice spokes. I honestly don't see how you haven't thought of this before, but maybe I just ride and use my bike too much.

If you hate your job and won the lottery, would you, or how would you quit? by Shamoo19in AskReddit

[–]WhitePostIt 0 points1 point ago

I wouldn't quit, at least not for a while. My credit score's pretty low and having a long term job helps to improve it. So in addition to using the lottery to pay off debts quickly (another way to raise your credit score) I would keep my job for a couple more years, look into any solid investments, and then quit with a two weeks notice.

Lactose-Free Milk, Orange Juice, doggie treats, Puff's tissues, Listerine mouth wash, Listerine toothpaste, and a new toothbrush.

Bring her to orgasm 5 times through oral. One orgasm for every five years.

Ya'll and Ya can be used interchangeably when speaking to a group of people, 'ya' can also be used for one or two people.

My father is refusing to pay the mortgage when it is in his power to do so in what appears to be an effort to sink our family. Is there anything we can do? by Mammogram_Manin AskReddit

You guys are all sissies. When I see packaging meant to be difficult to open, I don't see an obstacle, I see a challenge to accept.

And I get them open in less than ten minutes with just my hands.

I meant that if you're have a glass half-empty attitude towards life, we would never get along. If it's just for the movie, then that's fine. But in general, pessimistic people and I never got along, and it frustrates me even more when they say that they're not pessimistic, they're just 'realists'.

I should be able to get a house when I'm, say, 30? by hereforthekittehsin fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

[–]WhitePostIt 4 points5 points ago

Actually, I see renting as flexibility, while mortage can be a risk. Depending on where you buy and what you can afford, if you buy a house and over the course of a decade the neighborhood turns to crap, or something else happens that ruins the home value, then you've just lost a lot of money. I know someone who has been trying for the last seven years to sell her house that is, unfortunately, now next to a busy bus terminal. Lovely home, but the location has soured a lot of prospective buyers and she doesn't have enough equity for a bridge loan.

An apartment however - don't like the apartment? Start finding a new one, you can move out in a couple months and don't have to worry about the old apartment, since it's the landlord's problem. If you have the money, you could even rent a condo.
