Hey, just a heads up--I'll sometimes report links like this myself when I am scanning the new queue for questionable posts. When I don't have time to jump on IRC I'll just report the link because I know you guys are watching the mod queue and will take a look at it. I just assumed that if mods looked and couldn't find anything wrong with it then they will approve it and move on.

I just wanted to mention that because of your conversation with the OP in this thread.

You can see the sidebar of your subscribed subreddits via the app. We just recently put up this information about notifications so I don't blame you for missing it. I just wanted to show you where you can find a more in-depth answer to your question. Thanks!

I think this is in relation to how Alien Blue handles panel--especially when classifying their priority to the user.

AlienBlue assumes that the first panel you have open is the most important. So even though you may be in r/AlienBlue, if you got there from a panel with r/Diablo3 open then the app assumes that is the most important panel and automatically places that subreddit in the box.

You can also click the envelope at the bottom of the screen then tap the word bubble icon. That will show you all your comments and it lists the karma score next to the title.

This was my initial thought as well, but I got to thinking about it and realized that, depending on the subreddit, no mod team is going to be able to fish out all posts from the spam filter as soon as they show up there.

The person submitting the post is actually most astutely aware of the situation. They can immediately notice if their post has been caught in the filter or not.

I think the blame here goes on Reddit for having shotty spam tools. Users and mods have to work together to over come false positives. It's not the mods mistake if they miss it for a couple of hours during the day or over night. It's not the user's mistake either, so it's nice when they point out that something got stuck in the filter so that people can work together to solve the problem.

Most people realize this so I think saying "thanks" is just a formality for most people. I usually try to avoid tedious mod mail by thanking the user for bringing up the issue to the mods. However, if they say "thanks" for me going in and clicking "approve" then that's cool too.

You see my point though right? Google isn't just a search engine any more. It made changes to its business model and strategic investments in order to thrive. All I'm saying is that it's too soon to tell if Facebook can do the same thing or if they will crash and burn.

But this story talks about how they have fallen below heir initial evaluation. Looks like this IPO isn't doing exactly what it was expected to do. I'm sure some higher-up's at Facebook are still crossing their fingers in the hopes that their expectations will be met.
