First lets agree on what the revolution is. If we're talking practical, like real drug policy reform, i'd say we're already in a glacial transition, starting with medical/decriminalized marijuana, continuing through with the legalization ballots of '10 and '12, and eventually, over the next decade, we may see the line shift even further.

If we're talking, like, global-consciousness-reawakening kind of revolution, I don't think it's happening any time soon. I've read a lot of McKenna and Pinchbeck and I love psychedelics as much as the next guy, but I try to stay away from /r/Psychonaut-type thinking. Why? Because the internet is an echo-chamber for the current moment. Important things (arab spring/occupy wall street) share the same coverage and "viral"-ness as small things (Kony 2012/Rebecca Black). The noise-signal ratio is awful.

Real change in the hearts and minds and, most importantly, the behavior of people is something you can really only observe in retrospect.

If that sounds depressing, just remember that psychedelic drugs exist and you can explore your own psyche whenever you like.
