Unfortunately yes. It is like those who eat chocolate more as a result of spending time thinking of why they shouldn't eat chocolate.

The desire to eat chocolate may or not may be there when they are not thinking about the chocolate but thinking about not eating the chocolate is still thinking about it which increases the desire to eat it.

Focusing on better, more positive behaviours or in the case of Christianese temptations focusing on Jesus is a better way to not do the things that we don't want to do.

I feel like sharing my few tough experiences that I've had over the last few months but I'm on the tail end of it so it's still quite raw and fresh.

What I will say though is that yes, God can use any situation and work it for your best outcome. He's taken me this far even after I was in the depths of my struggles and I know he's going to continue doing His great work in my life.
