The low frame issue usually happens after a cinematic. It can be solved by simply tabbing in and out of the game.

How viable would it be to NOT use a shield when you're that far in? (hell, inferno) Have yet to see anybody not going for one hander with a shield combined with being as tanky/stunlocky as possible. Would going all out for damage just be obsolete as a barbarian in the long run?
