It's an excellent book, and if you like older sci-fi also try some of Fredrik Pohls work, his Heechee series kind of sets up the groundwork for the Mass Effect video games.

If I could take all my squad mates I'd still only take 3, I mean I usually only take 3 weapons on a mission why take more than 2 people who only have 2 guns each?

Garrus, James and Liara are who I want to take, Tali, Ashley and EDI would be my second 3-person squad.

EDI uses SMGs and Heavy Pistols, as does Liara. So they are the pin of a hinge-like squad, their weapons are kind of useless however by ensuring they change it up from Semi-auto to Full-auto on command I can decide why they stay back or maneuver.

Garrus is a better shot than Ashley with the sniper I would suppose but I think since ~~I've got the hots for~~ Ashley has inferno grenades she is also more useful when you give her the commands to use an assault rifle.

Tali and James aren't really alike, since Tali uses the pistol and James uses the AR, but since they both carry shotguns and I don't like to use the Shotgun (too close range, YMMV) I might as well say they're the part of the team I would rely on the most to have my back, since if we're back to back fighting and I tell James to switch to his Shotgun so I can use my AR (keep the enemy on their toes) that I could also tell Tali to use her Shotgun and I would only need to use my SMG as a sidearm to my AR, instead of telling her to use the pistol when I only need her to have a sidearm as well.

If I have to take 4 Squadmates, I'm thinking James, Ashley, Garrus and EDI. Liara has to stay near the ~~bed~~ information stuff, Tali is staying behind because I think she'd be useful on the ship while I'm away.

James and Ashley form one team, Scout and Sniper, Garrus and EDI form another team of Sniper and Decoy. I'll go at it alone if I have to, but it's always nice to have a fireteam at my side rather than a team of pyros in my face.

EDIT: Kaiden and Javik both use Heavy Pistols and Assault Rifles, so while they'd be a great team with me (I just bring along a scoped SMG because I use Cryo/Incin/Disrupt ammo with all three) I think they'd just form my 3rd fireteam if I also have to bring along everyone else.

"Purple Pills" was written for D12's debut studio album, Devil's Night. The track features verses sung by Eminem, Bizarre, Proof, Swifty and a joint verse between Kuniva and Kon Artis. The album version of the song contains many references to drug use, with "purple pills", "golden seals", and "Mushroom Mountain" being examples of recreational drug use. When it was announced that the group intended to release the track as a single, due to the drug and sex references, it was deemed inappropriate for play on many radio stations, and as such, a censored version of the song, "Purple Hills", was made. This version removes most of the drug and sex references, and replaces them with comical lyrics. Such changes include; the line "I've been to mushroom mountain" altered to say "I've climbed the highest mountain"; and the line "I take a couple uppers, I down a couple downers" changed to "I've been so many places, I've seen so many faces." Most of Bizarre's verse is entirely changed, due to the strong amount of sexual and drug content in it. Music videos were made for both "Purple Pills" and "Purple Hills".

Pre-agricultural humanity might not be the best squadmates, however the hunter lifestyle probably makes their biotic potential higher than normal agricultural humans, seeing as pre-agricultural humans had to hunt and gather their food. Without eezo exposure however most humans don't develop biotics, and if a human squadmate was there it might be a biotic-user instead of primarily a weapon-user.

But then again I think I'd trust a pre-agricultural human witht he Kishock Harpoon gun, since it's most like something almost close to what they know to use.
