Dreading the baby boy "blues" by salydrain BabyBumps

[–]RosieRose23 0 points1 point ago

Really? I got clothes in every size but newborn! There are 12 month things waiting to be worn that I got at my shower. My daughter was short, so I actually had to go out and buy newborn clothes because she was in them for like a month and a half, even though she was 7lbs 15 oz at birth.

I posted this earlier, but I have never seen the pink avalanche that other people describe. For instance, this is the collections by Carters right now. http://www.carters.com/carters/baby-girl-sets/carters-baby-baby-girl-sets,default,sc.html. I don't think that there are as much pink clothes out there as pregnant women think.

OH...ok, I didn't see where you could recall the emails. Just make them send later. I was thinking someone would use this to convince their bosses that they weren't taking 1/2 hour dumps at work or something.

I think this is a problem all pregnant women think they will have, but it doesn't really happen...

My daughter has a lot of yellows and oranges and browns and greens too. I know it seems like everything is pink before they are born, but it isn't really that way.

Case in point: Carters website, their current collections. Yellow and Navy are really popular for baby girls right now, and I am seeing a lot of coral too.

The thing is, babies are developed fully by the time they are like 20 weeks or something, after that they just need the time to grow.

I called the doctor the first day I noticed and he just called in a prescription for us. I will admit that I have not been great at doing it 4x a day, but I will try harder.

This reminds me of a story I read on a site where people shared stories about their FOB parents, and one girl was yelled at by her mom for not wearing socks around the house. She told her mom "Daddy isn't wearing socks" and her mom said "Daddy doesn't have uterus!"

I have an ion hair dryer and have had it since I was a kid. I don't remember there being any health benefits associated, but it was supposed to make your hair shinier. My mom bought it, she believes a lot of that stuff about health and beauty products. It had a weird smell, and I remember as a kid that ionic anything was popular, and all had that charged smell.

TL;DR - As a kid I liked to huff ions.

That's crazy that your hospital wanted to do all that. My water broke and I was at 1 cm when I went in, and I labored for 6 hours on my own until I got to 4cm and I was ready for an epidural and then pitocin (it wasn't something I wanted to avoid, but I didn't want it before my epidural).

Congratulations on your daughter!

As far as your tearing theory, I had an epi but it was completely gone by the time it was time to push. I pushed as hard as possible, it hurt so much, I just wanted her out. So I was pushing even when they were telling me to rest. I tore too.

This can't be real. No father to be would go through infertility, finally get pregnant via IVF and then lose their baby at 9 months along and call it a "fetus" and an "it." No way.
